  1. Murder  –  A rip-off of  Hollywood blockbuster Unfaithful,   ‘Murder’ is a story about a wife Mallka Sherawat cheating on her husband with her ex-boyfriend Emraan  Hashmi. It is known to be one of the most successful adult Bollywood movies in India.
  2.  Arth – Director Mahesh Bhatt calls it an autobiographical film. It is a story about a married woman (Shabana Azmi) who finds that her husband (Khulbushan Kharbanda)is having an affair with another woman.
  3. Zeher – Emraan Hashmit cheats on his wife Shamita Shetty with Udita Goswami, only to know that he is being framed.
  4. Silsila – This amazing movie may not have met with a good response when it released but it is now a classic.  The story draws parallels with the real life equations of Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan and Rekha.  Amitabh Bachchan, married to his wife Jaya, is drawn to Rekha and the couple try their best to keep their rendezvous, a clandestine affair.
  5. Raaz – A horror story with the main theme as infidelity, it explores the story of a woman who haunts the lives of the newly- wed couple. Apparently, Dino Morea cheated on his wife Bipasha Basu, with Malini Sharma. When he insists on going back to his wife, the hysterical girlfriend commits suicide.Bollywood movies extramarital affairs
  6. Jism – Bipasha Basu is a philandering woman who cheats on her wealthy husband with a lawyer (John Abraham).The movie was  a copy of  Body  Heat but managed to do good business and made John Abraham and Bipasha Basu, the stars, they are today.
  7. Masti and Grand Masti – Masti (2004) followed by its blockbuster sequel Grand Masti(2013) dealt with men bored of their wives and looking out for other girls to spice up their lives, only to reform towards the end.  The movies use American Pie and other Hollywood comedies for references.
  8. Biwi No 1 –  The biggest hit of 1999, the comedy deals with Salman Khan leaving his homely wife to stay with an attractive model, played by Sushmita Sen. He is in for surprise when he comes to know that his wife is better than his girlfriend in every manner.
  9. Life in a Metro –  Shilpa Shetty plays a woman struck in a love-less marriage who falls for  a theater actor, Shiney Abraham. She almost ends up sleeping with him before her conscience gives her a wakeup call.
  10. Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna –  Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukherjee cheat on their partners because they are missing something even though their own partners seem perfect. A complex story on marital relationship, it met with an above-average response at the box-office.
