Know Radhika Apte Better!

Radhika Apte is a Bollywood actress who hails from a theater background. She has acted in many other regional films including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and Marathi.

Radhika was born on September 7, 1985 in Pune. Her father Dr. Charudutt Apte is a well-known neurosurgeon and chairman of Sahyadri Hospital.  She graduated with economics as her main subject from Fergusson College in Pune.  Radhika Apte’s first Hindi film was Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi! (2005), where she had a small role to play.  Simultaneously with movies, the 5 feet 4 inch tall actress has participated in many stage plays, most of them in Marathi. After a few films, she went to London study contemporary dancing forms. Radhika Apte has also acted in a short film by Anurag Kashyap called ‘The Day after Everyday’ which was shown on Youtube in 2012.

Radhika Apte’s Bollywood films are a quirky bunch which include The Waiting Room, I Am,  Rakht Charitra, Shor in The City. She found fame in 2015 with her amazing cameo in Badlapur.  Radhika Apte also stars in Hunterr, a coming-of-age film.

She got married to British musician Benedict Taylor in September 2012. The two met each other in 2011 in London when she had gone to the city to study contemporary form of dancing.  The two have been living for a long-time before they decided to marry

A controversy rose just before the release of Badlapur where a controversial selfie of Radhika Apte look-alike surfaced on the net.  Radhika took to Twitter and clarified saying, “ You guys! If you’re going to get someone to pass off as naked me, she needs to look a lot more like me. ”
