Pallavi Sharda is an Indian actress as well as a competent Bharat-Natyam dancer. She has also worked in an Australian movie called ‘Save Your Legs’.
Pallavi Sharda’ Bollywood debut and journey
The 25 year old actress was born in Perth, Australia. Both her parents have PHDs in science and engineering. She was raised in Melbourne and completed her LLB and BA in Media and Communications along with Diploma in Modern Languages with French as the main subject at the Melbourne University by the age of 16. After completing her studies, she came to Mumbai.
Pallavi Sharda was crowned Miss India Australia in Sydney, and then got a cameo role in My Name is Khan. Her next movie was Dus Tola, alongside Manoj Bajpai; the movie was a flop but her performance was noticed. Next she did an Indo-American film called Walkaway before doing another Bollywood project called Love Breakups Zindagi, a movie produced by Diya Mirza and Zayed Khan. Pallavi worked in an Australian film called Save Your Legs.
The Dabangg director Abhinav Kashyap signed her for the main lead alongside Ranbir Kapoor for Besharam.
Pallavi says that she stays alone in Mumbai. She adds “I’ve been brought up to be extremely self-dependent. I left Australia and my parents to be in Mumbai at the age of 18. I don’t have any family in Mumbai. I stay alone in a rented place in Mumbai. It was tough making my way around. But I’ve never had the feeling that I am alone or vulnerable.”
