Shah Rukh Khan’s home Mannat is a tourist landmark in Mumbai. The house worth Rs. 2000 crore is a befitting example of how dreams can be fulfilled. King Khan once told in an interview that when he had come to Mumbai, he found it strange that people lived in buildings instead of bungalows or single homes, people lived in small towns. While expressing his disappointment to his mother through a PCO, he promised her that he will make a big bungalow in Mumbai. When he bought the house in 1995, the house was valued at Rs. 15 crores.
Post Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Shah Rukh Khan’s bungalow was a reality. Though, it was tentatively titled ‘Jannat’, the name given finally was ‘Mannat’. Just behind Mannat, SRK built another huge six-floor building, which became an extension to the bungalow with huge drawing room, swimming pool, gym, entertainment room, guest room, car parking area, library and much more.
